Authors' Instructions for Accepted Contributions

in the PPAM2001 Proceedings Published

in the Springer Verlag Series LNCS

The PPAM2001 Proceedings will be published by Springer-Verlag in their Lecture Notes in Computer Science series.

Please follow the new version of the "Authors' Instructions" for the printed and the electronic volumes. (You can also download it in PS format.)

From now on manuscripts must be accompanied by a signed copyright form

Please send a printout of your contribution, your files (see below), and the completed and signed copyright form to the volume editors (see address below). They will check the contributions, decide in which order they shall appear in the book, and send the complete manuscript, the complete files, and the complete copyright forms of their volume on to Springer Verlag. Full contributed papers have a page limit of 8 pages. Invited papers may consist of max 12 pages.

The copyright form can be also send by fax  +(48)(34) 3250-331.

Preparing Your Manuscript

We will accept only camera-ready manuscripts prepred using  LaTeX2e together with the corresponding Springer class file llncs.cls. Only if you use LaTeX2e and llncs.cls will we be able to add hyperlinks to your manuscript in the online version. The LaTeX2e macro package for LNCS contains further files: llncs.dem is a sample input file which you may take as a source for your own input, llncs.doc is the documentation of the class. We also provide the LaTeX2e source file of the "Authors' Instructions", which may serve as a further sample input. You can download it as a ZIP archive or you can download the TEX file for the text and the EPS file for the figure separately.

We would like to stress that the style files should not be manipulated and that the guidelines regarding font sizes and format should be adhered to. This is to ensure that the end product is as homogeneous as possible.

Figures

If possible, please produce your figures electronically and integrate them into your text-file. For LaTeX users we recommend using the style-files psfig or epsf.

How to Submit Your Manuscript

Please submit to the volume editors (see address below), together with your own printout of the final version of your contribution, your source (input) files, e.g. TEX files for the text and PS or EPS files for figures, the final DVI file, the final PS file, and, if possible, a PDF file of the final version of your contribution. When generating the PS file please avoid using the option "reverse order". Make sure that the text is identical in all cases.

Naming of the Electronic Files

In the final PARA2000 program, the abstracts of the invited and contributed presentations are labeled IAxx and CAxx, respectively. These labels will be used to identify the electronic files of each individual manuscript.  Please, name all files in the following way. The name of each file name should be IPxx.yyy for invited presentation xx, where xx is a surename of the first author, and CPxx.yyy for contributed presentation number xx (= 1 to 64). Moreover, .yyy denotes the appropriate file name extension, e.g., .tex, .ps, .eps, .dvi, etc. The file names of figures should be IPxx_fig1.yyy, IPxx_fig2.yyy, etc.  We illustrate the naming conventions for manuscript CP15, that we assume is prepared using LeTeX2e. The manuscript is assumed to include two figures in eps-format.   The following files should be submitted:

CP15.tex
CP15.ps
CP15.pdf (if possible)
CP15_fig1.eps
CP15_fig2.eps

The following file describes which number should be used for which contribution to PPAM2001.
